Building bridges and creating networks are essential tasks in the context of ‘Displaying Futures.” Although we are not architects or IT specialists, we play a vital role in shaping the future. The complexity of global markets necessitates innovations that cannot be achieved through conventional channels, prompting us to expand our activities. By collaborating with clients and creative minds from various disciplines, we are venturing into new territories. Our journey began in fall 2011 at the German ambassador’s residence in Tokyo, where we initiated a dialogue titled ‘Perceptions’ between clients and esteemed experts in design, architecture, and science. Notable participants included Ryue Nishizawa, co-founder of the architectural firm SANAA, renowned German designer Stefan Diez, and Stefan Karp of ‘ma ma Interactive System Design.’ This dialogue continued in 2012 with the symposium in Taipei, ‘Seamless Transitions – from urbanity to products,’ extending the ‘Displaying Futures’ concept to Asia. The initiative aims to unite experts from diverse fields, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue to inspire ideas about the future characteristics and applications of displays, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of all participants involved.
