With the growing interest in digital entertainment and advancements in computer graphics, multimedia, and virtual reality, a new field known as “Edutainment” has emerged, combining education with entertainment. This approach is recognized as an effective learning method through mediums like computers, software, games, or VR applications that educate while entertaining. The Edutainment conference series was established to foster discussions, presentations, and information exchange on scientific and technological developments within this community. It serves as a valuable platform for researchers, engineers, and graduate students to engage at these international annual events. The series features plenary talks, workshops, tutorials, paper presentations, and panel discussions. Initiated in Hangzhou, China, in 2006, the series has seen success with subsequent conferences in Hong Kong and Nanjing. In 2008, the event attracted 219 submissions from 26 countries and regions, including the UAE, Canada, Thailand, New Zealand, and several European nations, showcasing the global interest and diverse participation in the field of Edutainment.
