This new edition features extensive revisions across most chapters, incorporating recent advances in immunohistochemical, molecular biological, and cytogenetic methods relevant to daily diagnostics. The chapter on neoplasms has been significantly expanded to align with the latest WHO International Histological Classification of genital tract tumors, addressing all important differential diagnostic aspects. A new chapter on malignant lymphomas and hematopoietic neoplasms involving the endometrium has been added. The gestational diseases chapter has been updated to reflect recent advances in the differential diagnosis of gestational trophoblastic tumors. Additionally, new insights into the correlation of structure and function in infertility and hormone replacement therapy for peri- and postmenopausal patients are included. Numerous new microphotographs illustrate advancements in tumor research and immunohistochemical detection methods. The reference list has been updated with recent relevant publications.
