Il revisite d'un pas alerte la trajectoire parisienne d'un des plus grands producteurs de théorie épistémologique et politique de son siècle, un homme dont Marx raillait les prétentions encyclopédiques, mais qui fut sans doute, après Hegel, le dernier représentant de l'ambition qui visait à produire une synthèse universelle, assortie, en l'espèce, d'un projet théologico-politique.
