En savoir plus sur le livre
The latest novel by Bronislaw Wildstein - a well known publicist and journalist - "Dolina nicosci" ("A Valley of Nothingness"?) illuminates the murky secrets of the Third Polish Republic (III Rzeczpospolita) more significantly than journalism concerning the same subject. It bares without compromise the mechanisms governing Polish politics. Apart from splendid literary value (the author is a laureate of the Koscierski Foundation Award and Andrzej Kijowski Award) the book contains a very convincing image of modern Poland. The author introduces the reader to a world of ex-SB agents (communist secret police), superbly coping in the world of showbusiness and media, shows their relationship and affiliations with polititians and the journalist environment. In the characters the reader can easily recognise actual people, known from newspaper headlines.
