Francis Hamlin accepts an invitation to work at a research station in the most remote and inaccessible place in the world-Vostok Station, Antarctica. This adventure is supposed to give him an opportunity to participate in discovering something truly unique with far reaching implications to positively impact the entire outside world. But what they do discover there is something truly horrific. When people begin to die, the terrifying truth of their situation sets in. They are trapped with no way to escape. All flights are impossible during the brutal winter. No one gets in; no one gets out.
