Energy sector is currently facing different challenges that are changing rapidly. Such factors include economic, social, environmental, technology and policies. Each of which affects the energy industry at different dimension and level. Some factors may deviate a business from achieving its goals, while some factors may impede business’s future operations. Even worse, certain factors may have a serious impact on national energy security. Energy organization is, therefore, required to closely monitor and evaluate such changes, including exploring plausible scenarios in various contexts. The results will increase the organization's ability to tackle challenges and overcome obstacles in a firm and rational way. This book presents plausible scenarios for Thailand's energy business under a sustainability perspective, but in different possible contexts. The findings will be useful in the analysis of national energy balance with detailed sector-by-sector projections. All of which will be beneficial in strategic energy planning at both the national and corporate level with a view to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2050.
