This diptych highlights two prominent projects by BRAVE / ARCHITECTURE, a recognized design firm based in Houston, Texas. The De Santos Gallery seductively places a gallery underneath an artist's residence while proportionally maintaining the scale of its neighbouring context. Richly photographed, the first book outlines the volumetric and material association that is picked up and advanced in the Sicardi Gallery - a project started immediately after De Santos was finished, but completed six years later. The two projects together show the growth and yet continuance of the firm's sublime designs and reverent detailing.
