This book offers a humanistic alternative to religion that does not demand absolute belief. It may interest those who are not religious minded but who want to believe in something. It argues that belief in life and humanity offers the best possible foundation for a belief system that looks to the future. This is a 'belief beyond belief' that it goes beyond belief in general. Religion does not have a monopoly on belief or faith; even without it there is still much to believe in.
