Into the Night and Fog is the first story of a trilogy, followed by The Gypsy of Berlin and The Book Finder. In this historical mystery, it is 1941, wartime Germany, and a German official compels former crime reporter Thomas Rost to find a diary, missing since the early 1930s in Munich. But some powerful leaders in Nazi Germany don't want the lost book found. Rost has a personal reason to search for it and his only trusted ally is a young woman on the run from the Gestapo. The books do not stand alone; rather, one part leads into the next. The trilogy is also available in a one-volume edition as The Berlin Trilogy.
