Kup's Chicago

En savoir plus sur le livre

For nearly twenty years, I have chronicled the daily drama and history of my town through Kup's Column in the Chicago Times, now the Sun-Times. This journey has allowed me to intimately know many faces across the city—from the stockyards to executive suites, and from slums to the Gold Coast. I’ve engaged with politicians, business leaders, educators, clergy, sports figures, and various notable citizens. My reporting has spanned murders, scandals, marriages, premieres, and national political conventions, of which Chicago has hosted more than any other city. Throughout this time, I have experienced a range of emotions—amusement, intrigue, outrage, and fascination—ultimately leading to a deep love for this American giant. I view Chicago as the most misunderstood and underrated city in the world, a unique place I proudly call my City of Big Shoulders.
