The study focuses on the phenomenon of dense fog in Punjab, Pakistan, particularly during the winter months. It examines the impact of prolonged fog on air and road traffic, leading to accidents and fatalities due to poor visibility. Analyzing 30 years of meteorological data from ten weather stations, the research identifies significant temperature and humidity changes during fog events. Findings indicate that daytime temperatures drop while nighttime temperatures rise, with mean temperatures remaining below 15.5 degrees Celsius, allowing for accurate predictions of dense fog occurrences within 24-48 hours.
