Lyman Frank Baum, an influential American author, is celebrated for his children's literature, especially the Oz series, which includes 14 novels. His creative output also encompasses 41 additional novels, numerous short stories, poems, and scripts. Following a challenging career in theater, Baum found success after moving west, where he opened a store and published a newspaper. His first Oz book debuted in 1900, and he later pursued filmmaking, aiming to create a studio for children's films in Los Angeles. His legacy includes the iconic 1939 film adaptation of his work.
