Focusing on the collection of Scottish games, this work aims to document the folk traditions of Argyle and its islands. Initiated by the Folk-Lore Society, the project sought input from local clergymen and educators to gather folklore and pastimes. Despite initial discouragement, contributors like Gregorson Campbell and Malcolm MacPhail provided valuable insights. This collection stands out as a unique attempt to compile games currently practiced in Argyleshire, serving as a foundational resource for future studies in Scottish folk traditions.
