Focusing on the optimization of hyperbolic natural draft wet cooling towers, this work addresses the design geometry crucial for reducing operational and maintenance costs. It analyzes six key variables affecting the total life-cycle cost, including the diameters and heights of the tower shell and fill. By establishing fixed ratios and relationships among these variables, the complexity of the problem is simplified to three variables, facilitating easier solutions. The goal is to enhance the overall cost-effectiveness of cooling towers in power plants.
