Lyman Frank Baum, an influential American author, is celebrated for his children's literature, especially the Oz series, which includes 14 novels. His creative output also encompasses 41 other novels, numerous short stories, poems, and scripts. After a challenging start in theater, he transitioned to writing and publishing in Chicago, releasing the first Oz book in 1900. Baum's works have had a lasting impact, notably with the iconic 1939 film adaptation. In his later years, he aspired to create a children's film studio in Los Angeles.
