Renowned for his novels featuring the adventures of collies, Albert Payson Terhune was also a distinguished dog breeder at Sunnybank Kennels, influencing the lineage of today's Rough Collies. His education at Columbia University culminated in a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1893. Terhune's career as a journalist spanned two decades, during which he reported for the Evening World from 1894 to 1914. His passion for dogs and storytelling has left a lasting legacy in both literature and dog breeding.
