Diana O'Toole has her life meticulously planned: marriage by thirty, kids by thirty-five, and a successful career in the competitive art auction world. As an associate specialist at Sotheby's, she's on the brink of a promotion, especially with her boyfriend Finn, a surgical resident, expected to propose during their romantic getaway to the Galapagos just before her thirtieth birthday. However, a virus has emerged, and on the eve of their trip, Finn must stay behind to help at the hospital. He encourages her to go alone, not wanting their nonrefundable vacation to be wasted.
