This work examines how various communities—political, economic, and business—are transitioning to a new narrative and policy framework essential for achieving a decarbonized economy and a sustainable future. It presents national and local policies and practices that empower states and individuals in their pursuit of carbon neutrality. The author outlines a climate crisis economics approach designed to meet climate change goals in the coming decades. Achieving economic and ecological sustainability is complex and costly, requiring alignment across all facets of our economies, policies, businesses, and personal practices. Despite having the necessary technologies and systems, there is a lack of urgency in taking action. Leaders, communities, and businesses must reframe their discussions and perceptions of the climate crisis. By embracing a new narrative about what is both possible and necessary, we can protect our shared future and fragile global environment, paving the way for Green Globalisation 2.0 and a new sustainable industrial revolution.
