This book covers the development and deployment of artillery self-propelled guns in the German Army between 1939 and 1945. Rommel needed artillery guns that were capable of keeping up with his Panzers. He used these new weapons in North Africa and France against the Allies. They were also used on the Eastern Front to attack the Soviet Red Army.
