En savoir plus sur le livre

The life of Basil Bunting, a significant modernist poet, is marked by pivotal experiences and influential relationships. Born in 1900 in a Tyneside mining village, he faced imprisonment as a conscientious objector in 1918. His journey took him to Paris in the 1920s, where he worked as an artist's model and road mender. Bunting's fortunes changed when he was aided by literary figures Ezra Pound and Ford Madox Ford, leading him to become Ford's assistant at the groundbreaking modernist magazine, the Transatlantic Review.
