Broken Dove, #2 in the DI Treloar series, has child abduction, stalking and murder, mostly set in West Cornwall in the UK but with breath-holding action in London and Amsterdam. Psychologically disturbing crimes are faced by Treloar and his team, with one team member in particular being more effected than most, for good reason. DI Treloar is Cornish, a bit of a maverick. Two children are kidnapped from a swimming pool near St Ives then he faces murder and stalking. In Broken Dove we get to know Treloar's family, especially his sisters, and more about his fascinating Spanish heritage which the family brings colourfully to life. Treloar's father, a Cornish man, got on a Brittany ferry boat in Plymouth one day in his youth, after a few beers, thinking he would go to France. He woke up in Santander in Northern Spain and the rest as we say.......you'll have to read about!
