En savoir plus sur le livre

Research scientist Jeannie Ferrami is deeply immersed in the study of twins and the genetics of aggression. An accomplished and determined researcher, she has created advanced software to identify identical twins raised apart. However, her groundbreaking project faces a challenge when identical twins are discovered, born weeks apart to different mothers in separate locations. Complications arise when Jeannie's research assistant, Lisa, is raped, and law student Steve Logan, a subject in Jeannie's study, is identified as the attacker. Despite genetic tests showing no violent tendencies, Jeannie learns that Steve has a criminal twin brother in prison. Convinced of Steve's innocence, her judgment becomes clouded by her growing feelings for him. Meanwhile, Jeannie's arrogant boss, Berrington Jones, a renowned figure in biotechnical engineering, sees her research as a threat to a lucrative deal involving their company, Genetco. He orchestrates her dismissal, leaving Jeannie bewildered and powerless. As she investigates the connection between Steve and his brother, she is violently attacked by another twin resembling Steve. Determined to protect her research and uncover the truth behind Jones's motives, Jeannie must navigate a dangerous path to reveal the hidden secrets surrounding the twins and the crimes committed against Lisa.
