Klasická ,,anglická" detektivka. Je to dobře a docela svižně napsané ale není to nic výjimečného.

Inspektor Gameche je výborně vykreslena postava, která spojuje celou sérii případů. Ty se odehrávají v blízkosti jeho nového bydliště. Všechny typy postav jsou výborně psychologicky vykreslené . Jednotlivé případy na sebe navazují a prolínají se, nechybí napětí ani překvapeni, líbilo se mi, že nejde o krvák typu Larse Kepplera.
Příjemná a poklidná detektivka bez brutalit, vrchní inspektor je velmi lidský, popis vesničky, ve které se příběh odehrává, je popsaný tak, že byste ji okamžitě chtěli navštívit.
