Carol Plummer, a former parole officer, and Denise Hargreaves, retired police prosecutor, set up a new private investigations firm after meeting up again after retirement. As they are both bored with the good life and missed the stress and excitement of their previous jobs, they made the decision to partner up. Their combined skills, experience and contacts would be ideal to solve cases they could be offered. Bringing in Rosslyn, Carol's life partner, Richmond, an Alsatian, and Jed Atkins, an ex-army Special Air Forces officer, amongst others, Hargreaves and Plummer hit the ground running investigating small cases until they land a big one focusing on a suspected serial killer, Peter Stranger. All this while trying to save potential victims of the serial killer as well as getting justice for previous fatalities. Will they find the proof they need that Peter Stranger is a killer? Will they overcome the challenges they face? And will they be able to bring justice where it belongs?
