En savoir plus sur le livre

After an early spring thaw on the Alaskan coast, Anchorage police uncover a dismembered human foot while investigating a serial killer. A man is arrested for attacking a female jogger, and investigators believe they have caught the sadistic killer. However, one deputy suspects they have the wrong person. In the remote town of Deadhorse, Deputy US Marshal Arliss Cutter boards a bush plane with three prisoners charged with serious crimes. He expects a routine flight to Anchorage, but the situation escalates when the plane makes an unexpected landing. The prisoners murder the pilot and guard, set the plane ablaze, and the surviving passengers are forced to flee into the wilderness. Meanwhile, in Anchorage, Deputy Lola Teariki links the dismembered foot to a missing girl and the serial killer responsible for her death—one of Cutter’s prisoners. With no communication and limited supplies, Cutter must navigate the harsh elements of Alaska while evading the cold-blooded killer who is now hunting him. As they face ravenous grizzly bears and wolves, the struggle for survival intensifies, revealing that human nature can be even more brutal than the unforgiving wilderness.
