His life was marked by controversy, including a duel with a critic, an obscenity trial, and fervent support for Italian Fascism. Marinetti served as a war correspondent during the Italo-Turkish War and fought on the Eastern Front in World War II, continuing his involvement in conflict well into his sixties. He passed away in 1944. Lesley Chamberlain, a novelist and historian, and Suzanne Brill, an art historian and translator, contribute to the understanding of Marinetti's complex legacy.
