Erich Strenger - Porsche

En savoir plus sur le livre

Erich Strenger (1922-1993) was an influential author, photographer, designer, and illustrator who significantly shaped Porsche's visual identity during the early '50s and '60s. His design language remains evident in the brand today, alongside numerous print products, including Christophorus – a magazine for Porsche enthusiasts, co-created with Richard von Frankenberg. Over a thirty-year collaboration with Porsche, Strenger transitioned from working solo to founding an advertising agency in Stuttgart, employing up to eleven staff members. He produced countless racing posters, reminiscent of his early freelance designs for Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche KG. Strenger's contributions were pivotal in crafting the Porsche brand image we recognize today. This book presents a comprehensive collection of his work from 1951 to 1988, highlighting key pieces from his collaboration with Porsche. While it does not aim to be an exhaustive catalog of his entire oeuvre, it emphasizes the significant highlights and showcases the designer's unique approaches and methods.
