One facet of future military science involves advising political leadership on the strategic orientation of the state regarding long-term security, while the second focuses on the scientific foundation of military operational command. These tasks must be viewed as an organic unity, as the escalation chain for managing vital threats ranges from strategic advice to operational and tactical implementation. To minimize frictions, it is essential that both strategic guidance and operational execution remain unified. Military science does not compete with security policy research but serves as its necessary complement. For military science to contribute effectively to national synthesis, it must be institutionalized to meet university standards and gain academic recognition akin to civilian disciplines. A future military science must prioritize a long-term strategic understanding rather than short- to medium-term implementations of predetermined decisions. It should develop its strategic advisory role based on a military assessment logic derived from leadership principles.
