Christoph Knecht, born in 1983 in Karlsruhe and currently based in Düsseldorf, creates a diverse body of work that includes painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. The Yad Chen series intertwines Israeli beauty products with Islamic quotes, rendered in a Cubist style using Arabic characters. Knecht also incorporates elements of his own cultural background, as seen in his bronze kebab sculpture and etchings of deer on lace doilies, contributing to a uniquely German narrative.
