Transport infrastructure is crucial for society, and deliberate actions to disrupt it can severely impact economic activities, lead to significant financial losses, erode user trust, and harm the economy. This text explores the concept of critical transport infrastructure and emphasizes the importance of network and information systems for effective management. Protecting these systems from unauthorized access is essential. Adopting a defense-in-depth approach, effective protection of critical transport infrastructure necessitates a suitable combination of technical and organizational measures, along with adequate physical security for relevant assets.
