This book explores the global spread of Workers’ Faculties, illustrating cooperation among socialist countries in education and the globalization of educational practices. Drawing on extensive research from Cuban, German, Mozambican, and Vietnamese archives, along with expert interviews, it presents detailed case studies of educational transfers and policy implementation, while engaging with theoretical frameworks related to globalization in education. The study of Workers’ Faculties serves as a compelling example of educational transfer among socialist nations and highlights the interaction between these transfers and globalization. Established shortly after the October Revolution in Russia, Workers’ Faculties continue to operate in Cuba today, offering a dynamic perspective on the socialist camp's evolution. Additionally, their proliferation across four continents enables an analysis of diverse local contexts. The book provides insights into general trends and specificities in the history of the Workers’ Faculty concept and its local implementations. Ultimately, it discusses these findings in relation to theories of globalization in education and the unique aspects of “socialist globalization” processes.
