Dialogue on sustainability and environmental management

En savoir plus sur le livre

The Sustainability Dialogue Conference, organized by the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) at the University of Ghana, is led by Dr. Daniel Nukpezah and his committee. Established in 2010 at the request of the Ghanaian government, IESS focuses on interdisciplinary training for future scientists and decision-makers in environmental management. To enhance international exposure for its students, IESS has participated in the DAAD-funded Environmental Management Information Systems (EMIS) project since 2015, which includes three doctoral students integrated into the Doctoral Education in EMIS (DEMIS) network, alongside institutions from Germany, Mozambique, and Tanzania. In collaboration with the University of Oldenburg, the conference is co-sponsored and funded by the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID) and DAAD. Addressing sustainability and environmental management is crucial in the face of population growth and resource depletion. The conference aims to unite researchers and industry professionals to share insights on sustainability practices. Over two days, it features a panel discussion on recent developments, advances, challenges, and opportunities in environmental research. Key research papers and parallel poster sessions will be presented, culminating in a plenary session. Topics include sustainability concepts, environmental resource management, renewable energy, climate change ada
