Most diet methods (diet pills included) are created by self-appointed weight loss gurus who are very often doctors looking for fame or extra income. And the fitness industry—with its plethora of personal trainers—specializes in making people (especially women, but increasingly men, too) feel like they aren’t good enough the way they are: “You need to be skinnier. You need to be fitter. You need to be perfect.” Indeed, these weight loss gurus and personal trainers do not always harbor the best intentions; weight loss, after all, is a billion dollar industry. I have written this book, however, to suggest a different weight loss path. And I know a way to change your body that you may not have heard of before. My goal is simple: I want to help you get a body that makes you feel confident, that allows you to accept yourself, that lets you feel whole and comfortable in your own skin. In other words, I want you to be mindful of your body as you live in the moment.
