This interdisciplinary volume is aimed at economists, educators, and those engaged in globalization and its societal impacts. It examines economic and social development in various countries, focusing on the effects of globalization and infrastructure development. The collection features six papers presented at the 2013 Congress of Political Economists (COPE) International conference in Buenos Aires, contributed by economists from Poland, the USA, and Barbados, addressing globalization issues at multiple levels. One paper offers a macro perspective with empirical data on the 2007 financial crisis, analyzing the interventions' effects. Another provides a case study of Barbados' public transport system under globalization, proposing sustainable transportation solutions.
