En savoir plus sur le livre

Few remain indifferent to Joseph Beuys and Rudolf Steiner, despite their passing decades ago. One is known as a political clown and artistic agitator, while the other is an eccentric, esoteric philosopher. This book explores the profound connection between their thoughts, highlighting the internal consistency and depth of their ideas, as well as their determination to enact change in the world, all infused with a sense of humor evident in their works. It illustrates their serious intent to transform society. Dr. Wolfgang Zumdick, the author, is an international philosopher, curator, and specialist in Joseph Beuys' Social Sculpture. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from RWTH Aachen and has curated multiple exhibitions on Beuys and social sculpture. His extensive publications focus on the history of philosophy and 20th-century art, particularly regarding Beuys. From 1996 to 1998, he was a scholarship holder at the Laurenz Haus Foundation in Basel. Currently, he is a core member of the Social Sculpture Research Unit and serves as a Senior Lecturer in Social Sculpture at Oxford Brookes University. This book represents the first significant English-language publication examining the epistemological frameworks in the works of Beuys and Steiner.
