En savoir plus sur le livre
Otto Künzli, born in 1948, has transformed modern jewellery design and is celebrated as one of the most insightful and critical figures in the field. With a career spanning approximately 45 years, he has established himself as an influential artist, author, and educator. As the director of the jewellery class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich since 1991, he has mentored notable artists including Karen Pontoppidan, Karl Fritsch, David Bielander, and Lisa Walker. This publication showcases his diverse body of work for the first time, encompassing not only his jewellery but also conceptual pieces in photography and installations. It serves as both a retrospective and a forward-looking examination of his artistic journey. The striking graphic design by Frederik Linke complements the content, echoing the success of his previous work, The Fat Booty of Madness. Künzli’s creations are rooted in deep reflections and imaginative visuals, resulting in pieces marked by minimalistic clarity, technical precision, and a blend of wit and sensuality.
