Finally-- a book written about Contax in English. The English translation of "Auf den Spuren der Contax". This second volume has become a standard reference work on the post-war Contax. This lavishly illustrated book (330 photos and illustrations) tells the story of the famous post-war classics, the Contax IIa/IIIa, their lenses and accessories. It also covers Contax cameras from Carl Zeiss of Jena as well as prototype cameras, copies, and the Kiev. Contax SLRs from Dresden (Contax S through the Pentacon Super) are given ample space. A chapter is also devoted to the Contaflex, Contarex, and Ikarex cameras. Contax cameras from Japan receive much attention also. The book is up to date (2003), making it a treasure trove of information for users of newer Contax cameras.
