Mit dem Untertitel MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO verweist Zipp auf den bekannten Zitatausschnitt des römischen Dichters Juvenal (ca. 60-140 n. Chr.), der als Satiriker bereits selbst die Zeichen seiner Zeit spitzzüngig kritisierte. Under the title (WHITE REFORMATION CO-OP) MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO, Thomas Zipp devotes himself to the question of norms and deviation, social segregation as well as the classification of the self in society. He transforms spaces into his vision of a mental institution, through the use of gloomy aesthetics and satirical exaggeration. The subtitle MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO refers to the well-known quote by the Roman poet Juvenal (circa 60-140 BC), who himself had criticised the slogans of his time with a sharp satirically tongue.
