En savoir plus sur le livre

Embedded and ubiquitous computing systems have significantly expanded their applications, now encompassing mission- and business-critical scenarios. This evolution raises several important issues, including dependability, real-time performance, quality of service, autonomy, resource constraints, seamless interaction, middleware support, modeling, verification, and validation. The International Workshop on Software Technologies for Future Embedded and Ubiquitous Systems (SEUS) unites experts in this field to share ideas and advance the state of the art regarding these challenges. I had the honor of chairing the sixth edition of the workshop, which upheld the tradition of delivering high-quality research. Hosting the event in the beautiful setting of Capri, with its breathtaking views and rich traditions, was particularly rewarding. SEUS began in 2003 as an IEEE event and became a flagship event of the IFIP Working Group 10.2 on embedded systems in 2007. Recent editions took place in locations such as Hakodate, Vienna, Seattle, Gyeongju, and Santorini, often co-located with the IEEE International Symposium on Object/Component/Service-Oriented Real-Time Distributed Computing (ISORC). This year marked SEUS's first standalone event, and despite organizational challenges, it showcased high-quality contributions from four continents, presented by senior scientists from academia and leading industrial research centers.
