En savoir plus sur le livre

The biannual international conferences on Ant Colony Optimization and Swarm Intelligence, now in its sixth edition, began a decade ago with ANTS’98. Initially focused on ant colony optimization (ACO), the first swarm intelligence algorithm to transition from theoretical research to practical applications, the series has since expanded its scope. Over the past ten years, interest has surged not only in ACO but also in various other aspects of swarm intelligence. This growth is evidenced by several indicators: the increasing number of submissions and participants at the ANTS conferences, the rise of international conferences in computational intelligence that feature workshops on swarm intelligence topics, and the establishment of the IEEE Swarm Intelligence Symposium in 2003. To foster collaboration in this expanding field, a cooperation agreement between IEEE SIS and ANTS is being developed, allowing for alternating annual events. Additionally, the launch of the Swarm Intelligence journal further highlights the burgeoning interest and research within this domain.
