These contributions stem from the 15th International Senckenberg Conference, covering a wide array of topics, including plate tectonics and regional and palaeontological studies. The tectonics papers utilize fossil groups to illuminate large-scale tectonic processes. Most contributions focus on mid-Palaeozoic regional and palaeogeographical aspects, often integrating studies of various fossil groups.
