Between April 1784 and June 1788, a draft for a ‹General Code of Law for the Prussian State‹ was published in Berlin, inviting public evaluation and encouraging scholars of legal philosophy from Germany and beyond to provide thorough critiques, with substantial prizes offered for participation. The new six-volume edition includes an account of the draft's development and revisions, along with a list of critical suggestions (monita) from courts, administrative authorities, the three estates, and private individuals. Each section and article references these monita, along with extracts and Svarez' evaluations (revisio), as well as the ‹General Code of Law‹ and the ‹Prussian Civil Code‹.
