This book explores profound metaphysical questions about the universe, creative intelligence, the existence of God, free will, and the nature of the self. It critiques the materialistic views prevalent in natural sciences and argues for a broader understanding that includes spiritual dimensions and the possibility of life after death.

Is our world really as postulated today? Do not natural scientific findings, especially those gained in our modern times, raise more questions than they can answer? Is it not the case that natural scientific ideas are often based more on subjective interpretations of objective findings than on the findings themselves? In fact, do not especially convictions of the modern zeitgeist often determine how we should see our world? Is that the reason why there is no longer room left for God, for a brain-independent spirit and for a life after death? The author is a medical specialist and university professor. After decades of intensive research, he postulates a well-founded and yet alternative view of our world. As a result, he comes to the conclusion: There are facts that are greater than our whole universe!
Christian Schneider is a world-famous physicist. His ideas about "God and the world" naturally correspond with current mainstream thinking. He is married, has three adult children and lives in a traditional, upper-middle class, intact world. But appearances are deceptive; not everything is as it appears, and a few things seem to be completely different from how he expects them to be. Quite unexpectedly, Christian finds himself confronted with major problems. Following a severe stroke of fate, which severely endangers his very existence, he sets out on an extraordinary and fascinating journey into an unimaginably strange world, where he gradually learns to call his entire worldview into question. Sustained by unconditional love, he gains completely new and far-reaching insights into the cornerstones of his life and that of all human beings. His opinions about matter and spirit, space and time, mankind and animals, men and women, sin and punishment, life and death, and not least his opinions about 'God' are radically changed.
Modern Natural Science preaches materialisms. But is this the right notion, even so characteristic of our times? The author is a practicing medical specialist and a professor at a German University of Applied Sciences. He has lectured at a natural scientific-technical faculty for many years. He is convinced that materialism is not the right explanation and he believes that he can prove this by means of confirmed natural scientific knowledge. With this new book series the author takes a sharp and consistent observation beyond the horizons of all important scientific fields and with impressive logic he leads us towards a plausible but alternative perception of the real world. This first volume provides us with elementary mathematical logic, found both in the whole universe with its amazing natural constants and in the genome of life.
Our world is surely an integrated whole! Therefore, we should not study the knowledge of the various (natural) sciences and the perceptions of religions and philosophy in isolation, or even arrogantly ignore some of them. Neither should we reject seemingly reputable borderline experiences and inexplicable phenomena, or ridicule them merely because they do not fit into our way of thinking. If we are serious about discovering the truth behind our world, we should not a priori close our minds to any of these perspectives. Only then might it be possible to form a comprehensive, overall and integrative view of the world. This is why the author ventures to see the world from a completely different, new and alternative viewpoint. In so doing he arrives at the imperative consequence that, in fact, our death is only a physical death. Our real self, our own unique individual personality lives on unchanged after our „death“. Those who die are not really dead! The author has been a practising orthopaedic specialist and university lecturer for many years. He based his conviction, which has grown over many years, on a number of very substantial arguments while never forgetting to look further and beyond the various limited fields of science. Last, but not least, he wants to yield hope and comfort especially to those people who are afraid of their own death or who are confronted with the death of a beloved person.
Our world is an integrated whole, prompting profound questions about existence: Is there a higher creative intelligence or God? Is there a spiritual dimension? Do we have free will, and what is our "ego"? Are life and spirit mere byproducts of matter? Was everything created by the Big Bang? Natural science and religions offer conflicting answers, with science leaning towards materialism, rejecting concepts like God, spirit, and free will. The author, a medical specialist and professor at a German University, challenges this materialistic view. He believes it fails to adequately explain our reality and seeks to prove this through established scientific knowledge. By observing beyond the boundaries of significant scientific fields and employing logical reasoning, he presents his perspective on the real world. He bridges natural science and religion through philosophy, ultimately suggesting that even death can lose its dread. This exploration may provide comfort and support for those grappling with their mortality or the loss of loved ones.
"Key to Eternity" ist die englische Übersetzung des Buches "Der Schlüssel zur Ewigkeit" (ISBN 3-89811-819-3), welches um die Jahrtausendwende in zweiter Auflage "Everywhere in our universe we find some special numbers which determine and control the whole world at very decisive positions. Besides, scientists have recognized that Life is only possible in very sharp limits for their existential conditions. On one hand the author will show, that our world follow easy mathematical rules and some special number relations. Mathematics gives a real existent plan for the universe, so that it is the true basis of all natural sciences. Life and Death are not just more or less regular products of complex organic matter. Life and Spirit are, as well as Mathematics, immaterial spiritual principles. They directly lead us to a transcendental creator of that means to God. The acceptance of the real existence of a spiritual dimension and the understanding of their universal rules of organization show with no doubt that the individual human spirit will survive his physical death - it certainly must. With his book the author looks for a plausible synthesis of all religious, philosophical and natural scientific world-outlooks. This book deals with all of these cardinal questions of human existence in a very entertaining and fascinating way."
