Als sich nicht fündig wurde, entschloss sich die gelernte Erzieherin kurzerhand selbst zwei Bücher zu schreiben. Jasmin Frank ist 16 Jahre alt und geht in die 10 Klasse einer weiterführenden Schule. Das erste Buch beschreibt die Aufnahme eines Kindes in eine Pflegefamilie. Es soll in erster Linie Kindern erklären, warum manchmal Kinder nicht bei ihren Eltern leben können und was alles bei so einer Aufnahme abläuft. Zum Einen soll es eine Hilfe für Pflegekinder sein, damit sie sehen, dass sie mit ihrer Geschichte nicht alleine sind. Zum Anderen dient es auch als Anschauungsmaterial für Kinder im Kindergarten, die oft nicht verstehen, warum manche Kinder vier Eltern haben, die leiblichen Eltern und die Pflegeeltern. Das zweite Buch beschreibt die Rückführung des Pflegekindes in die Herkunftsfamilie und wie solch eine Rückführung gelingen kann. Für ein Kind, das wieder zurück geführt wird, ist die Situation oft sehr schwierig. Einerseits hängt es an seiner Pflegefamilie, andererseits hat es ja die Bindung zu seiner leiblichen Mutter. Das Buch soll ihm eine kleine Hilfe sein. Es zeigt aber auch den Pflegefamilien, wie so etwas ablaufen kann. Letztendlich richtet sich das Buch aber auch an alle potenziellen Familien, die sich mit dem Gedanken tragen, ein Pflegekind aufzunehmen. Neben den möglichen Problemen, die ein Pflegekind mit sich bringen kann, ist es eine sehr lohnenswerte Aufgabe. Dass ein Kind sich in einer Pflegekind wohl fühlt, ist mit keinem Preis der Welt zu bezahlen und das Lächeln eines Kindes ist das schönste Geschenk, dass man Pflegeeltern machen kann.
