Grinding and dispersing are important process steps in many branches of industry. Especially wet grinding and dispersing become more and more influence on producing chemicals, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, minerals and so on. The 6 th International Symposium on “Wet Grinding and Dispersing” explains a lot of details for the design and optimisation of milling and dispersing processes in different types of industry and research. In this booklet you will find abstracts and papers (CD included) covering the following themes: New developments in grinding and dispersing Milling, dispersing and stabilization of nano-particles New development of grinding media and their application New industrial applications of grinding and dispersing processes simulation methods like discrete element modelling In addition to the Symposium an exhibition shows latest developments in grinding and dispersing techniques as well as measurement devices. The contact information for the presenting companies is given inside this book.

Grinding and dispersing are important process steps in many branches of industry. They become increasingly important for instance in the pro-duction of inks, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, fillers and minerals. In this booklet you will find abstracts and papers of the 7th International Symposium on “Fine Grinding and Dispersing“ covering the following topics, among others: - milling, dispersing and stabilising of nano-particles - new developments of grinding media and their application - novel practical applications, e. g. from pharmacy - measurement methodssimulation and modelling
The conference transcript summarizes the presentations of the speakers of the colloquium on „Grinding and Dispersing with Stirred Media Mills“. The topics are: Practical and Economical Advantages of New Grinding Technology (Bachofen AG); Processing of nano-particles in agitated media mills – benefits of small molecule surface modification technology (Bühler GmbH); Nanomilling in aqueous and organic suspensions with stirred media mills (TU Braunschweig and University Erlangen-Nürnberg); Screening of formulations for wet grinding and de-agglomeration to submicron particles (Bayer Technology Services GmbH); Increase in productivity and product quality by improving size and material of grinding media (Institute for Particle Technology, TU Braunschweig); Annular-Gap Bead-Mill CoBall-Mill, Applications and Strategies for best Production Parameters (Romaco AG and FrymaKoruma); Safety aspect concerning grinding plants with stirred media mills (Siemens AG); Ultrafine dry grinding with media mills (Hosokawa Alpine AG)
