      Mato Grosso do Sul

      This book illustrates lichens that were recently collected in Mato Grosso do Sul state in Brazil. The second author lived during four years in this state while he was visiting professor at the main university. He made numerous excursions, often with colleagues, to whom he is very thankful, to collect lichens all over the state. This book depicts a selection of those.     • Als Ergänzung zu dem 2008 erschienenen Buch "Flechten Madeiras, der Kanaren und Azoren" von F. Schumm werden hier ca. 130 weitere Flechten dieses Gebietes makro- und erstmalig vollständig mikroskopisch mit ca. 900 Einzelbildern dokumentiert. Der an Flechten interessierte Amateur kann damit seine Bestimmungen noch besser absichern und der Fachlichenologe findet auf den mikroskopischen Tafeln anatomisch/histologische Einzelheiten, die durch noch so lange Texte nicht richtig vermittelt werden können. Die aufgenommenen Flechtenarten, viele zum ersten mal in dieser vollständigen Weise porträtiert, sind alphabetisch angeordnet.
