Cette traduction inedite de l'oeuvre principale d'Adolf Reinach (1883-1917) apporte des contributions fondamentales a divers champs de la connaissance. Disciple de Husserl, Reinach propose une interpretation du monde social qui engage la phenomenologie sur le terrain des actes sociaux et des experiences individuelles qui les accompagnent, afin d'isoler les structures a priori qui sont au principe meme du droit positif. Le travail de Reinach s'inscrit egalement dans un champ d'analyse philosophique et linguistique centre sur les enonces dits performatifs, baptises tels par Austin quelques decennies plustard.

Die kulturelle Bedeutung dieses Werkes wird von Wissenschaftlern anerkannt, da es einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Wissen der Zivilisation leistet. Es wurde aus dem Originalartefakt reproduziert und bleibt dem ursprünglichen Inhalt treu. Between 1906 and 1913 Adolf Reinach wrote a considerable amount on the subject of ethics. Some of his work on that subject was published during his lifetime, while other parts survive only as transcripts from his lectures. This compilation brings together three pieces of work by Reinach dealing with ethics, published in English version for the first time. The first of these pieces shows Reinach’s early interest in developing a phenomenological ethics. The second, an article on ‘the ethical and legal significance of reflection’, published in 1911-13 has Reinach discuss the experience of reflection (Überlegung) as a problem for both ethics and for certain sections of the contemporaneous criminal law. The third piece contains a series of discussions on existing moral theories and Reinach’s own work towards a phenomenological ethics. With these three texts added to those already in translations, the whole of Reinach’s writings regarding ethics are now available in English language form. Each of the texts is presented in a parallel format, including the original German from the1989 edition of Reinach’s collected works alongside the English text by the translators. The compilation also includes a short introduction outlining the content of the articles and their place within Reinach’s wider body of work.

Escritas durante su servicio en el cuerpo de artillería del ejército alemán durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, las presentes Anotaciones, que ejercieron una influencia decisiva en el itinerario de filósofos como Edith Stein, constituyen la muestra más prolija del pensamiento de Adolf Reinach en torno a lo religioso. Como buen fenomenólogo, su intención es desentrañar el valor cognoscitivo peculiar de las vivencias religiosas. Desde ese planteamiento, Reinach descubre que a las vivencias religiosas les es esencial, como algo válido de ellas a priori, el que no son algo producido por nosotros. Además, la vivencia religiosa guarda analogía con otras de la vida ordinaria como la dependencia, el cobijo, el agradecimiento o la confianza. Sin embargo, se distingue porque su contenido presenta una magnitud absoluta.

Der Philosoph und Phänomenologe Adolf Reinach (1883-1917) ist einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter der phänomenologischen Philosophie. Reinach studierte u. a. bei Lipps und Husserl, bei welchem er 1908 auch habilitierte und dessen Assistent er in Göttingen war. Dort beeinflusste er auch als herausragender Lehrer die Schule der „Göttinger Phänomenologie“ und gab zusammen mit Adolf Reinach, Moritz Geiger und Alexander Pfänder das „Jahrbuch der Philosophie und phänomenologischen Forschung“ heraus. Als erster – noch vor John Langshaw Austin – entwickelte Reinach einige Themen der Sprechakttheorie. Reinach fiel im Ersten Weltkrieg.
