Soziale Gruppen sind eigenartige und uneinheitliche Gebilde. Ihre Unterschiede interessieren den Rechtsphilosophen vor allem, wenn es um die Begründung von Gruppenrechten geht. Auch Rechte sind eigenartige Gegenstände. Sie existieren nur, wenn und solange die Forderungen, die sie enthalten, gerechtfertigt sind. Aus beiden Gründen sind Gruppenrechte problematisch. Es stellen sich insbesondere die folgenden Fragen: Wie lassen sich Rechte politischer Minderheiten rechtfertigen? Hat Kosovo das Recht auf staatliche Unabhängigkeit? Sind Minderheitsrechte Individual- oder Kollektivrechte? Wie weit geht das Recht auf Intervention? Ist Multikulturalismus eine Gefahr für die liberale Gleichheit? Haben Angehörige kultureller Minderheiten Sonderrechte? Und gibt es ein Recht auf Immigration? Zur Beantwortung dieser Fragen wurde von 1995 bis 1999 am Institut für Philosophie der Universität Bern ein Forschungsprojekt durchgeführt. Die Beiträge dieses Bandes gehen zum Teil auf dieses Projekt zurück und stammen zum anderen Teil von eingeladenen Autoren.

The collection offers a rich tapestry of perspectives, inviting readers to contemplate the future of art in the context of its past and the philosophical inquiries surrounding its existence and purpose.
