Alphons Silbermann (1909–2000) war eine schillernde Figur seiner er hat als Musiklektor, Kaufmann, Professor für Soziologie und Kommunikation sowie als Publizist gearbeitet. Als Jude, Emigrant und Homosexueller war er für viele ein unbequemer Außen seiter. Als Medienstar war er ein höchst geist reicher und origineller Denker abseits vom Mainstream.In seiner Autobiografie blickt er auf ein abenteuerliches Leben zurü Flucht vor den Nazis über die Niederlande und Frankreich nach Australien, wo er als Tellerwäscher begann und die erste Fastfood-Kette Australiens gründete. Danach war er Dozent in Sydney, Paris und Lausanne, schließlich Professor für Massenkommunikation und Kunstsoziologie in Köln und dann in Bordeaux.Eine ungewöhnlich offene Autobiografie eines Weltmannes, die ein farbiges Panorama des 20.
